Follow The Fun
A phrase Brenda Chung has taken to heart and brings wherever she goes!
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Brenda grew up in a household that loved video games and cartoons. She became obsessed with the behind-the-scenes of her favorite media until she stumbled upon Youtube videos of her favorite voice actors performing! Brenda was enamored by these seemingly regular people and their ability to slide into their characters’ in a heartbeat; so when the opportunity came up for her to give performing a try, she took it and fell in love with the craft!
Since being picked up by MVM Agency, Brenda has found success in working on-camera, for voice and as a host under a different name; Brendan! However, she took a hiatus from performing to focus on herself as she began transitioning October of 2025. With the support of all her loves ones, she has been able to become her authentic self and is now happier than ever and more importantly; ready to get back to work!
So if you’re looking for a transgender Chinese-Canadian girl who can’t shut up, hi!

Besides working as an actor, the one thing I want to be able to do is to share with others the joys and importance of performance. As a means to that, I hope to use my experiences as an actor to teach voice acting.
Now! Outside of what I’ve already listed, here’s a list of stuff I’ve volunteered to do outside of my professional career:
The OTM/VFS-GD Network:
- I created and project manage a volunteer-based program between On The Mic Training (OTM) and the Vancouver Film School’s (VFS) Game Design department that provides students at VFS with the opportunity to work alongside voice acting alumni from OTM.
- Students must create character sides, scripts and effort spreadsheets to provide to OTM alumni for them to study, before performing and recording in a professional setting!
- To help smooth out the process, I occasionally direct these voice actors with the help and cooperation of the VFS students!
- If you’re interested in joining my roster, reach out via the contact form or email!
Live Event Organization:
- I have organized and hosted live events with the sole purpose of giving everyone who is willing to try voice-over a chance to perform in front of actors and be directed!
- Depending on the setting, I bring some combination of my recording setup, directions and support to those who suffer from performance anxiety as ensuring that the volunteers were having fun was my #1 priority!
Mascot Performances:
- I have co-written, directed, and performed as my own mascot suit performances for various events here in Vancouver! Mixing audio our performers will be acting to is my responsibility as well.
- This has allowed me to learn what goes behind theatrical blocking, silent storytelling and physical comedy!
In regards to recording, Brenda’s home studio includes:
- An Audio-Technica AT4040 Condenser Microphone,
- A Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) Audio Interface,
- A Sennheiser HD 25 Light Professional Monitoring Headphones,
- A MacBook Air (M1, 2020) with Pro Tools Studio,
- Source-Connect Standard/Zoom/Skype for Recording Sessions,
- And of course, the Capacity for 24-bit/48 kHz Recordings to be exported as an .mp3 or .wav!
